We made it to China safely, although we thought we a bit unsure after riding in our taxi....very scary. We have explored the city and subways as well walking around the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven was really interesting and we found out that when it burned down that they used wood from Oregon to rebuild. It certainly is a small world.
Food is interesting and I am having a difficult time finding food during the day. Do fine at breakfast in the hotel, but sometimes at lunch and dinner it is tough.
OPENING CEREMONY........WOW!!!!! I had always heard they were pretty unbelievable in person, but until you actually are there it is hard to comprehend. Nothing I write or say will do it justice. I am so glad I am here to actually experience it!! Check them out...
Now if we can just get tickets......we are having a hard time getting them and hope to have them by tomorrow sometime.
